Anika Noi Rose is an American actress and performer, is an eminent name in the world of entertainment. She is best known for her character voiced by Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the very first African American Disney Princess. She was named as a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar Award-winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on the 6th of September, 1971. She is a famous American singer and actress. Best known as the voice in the role of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the original African American Disney Princess. She was designated an official Disney Legend in 2011. The most famous of her roles is the role of Lorrell Robinson in the film that won an Academy Award Dreamgirls (2006), and the character she played as LaVerne the Jukebox Ganner in the Starz TV series Power. Also, she is known for her work in theatre, specifically because of her starring role as Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performer Award was given to her and Beneatha Youther from the Broadway Revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) to which the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performance in a Play nominated her.
